The project road starts from the M008/T005 Mutanda Junction in Solwezi District and goes along M008 to Kasempa Turn-off onto Road D181 to Kasempa Road. It is estimated at a total distance of 154.4 km. The project will be implemented within the RDA’s policy of out-sourcing consultancy services for engineering designs. The scope of work includes but not limited to:
- Reconstruction of selected sections;
- Pothole Patching and Shoulder Repairs;
- Double Surface Dressing application;
- Ancillary road works.
- Rehabilitation and widening works of roads.
The project included the following Drainage Infrastructures: (i) Road surface drainage with the drainage of stormwater runoff; (ii) Subsurface drainage with the interception and disposal of groundwater flows; (iii) Erosion protection measures for the slopes.
