Conversion of existing road into highway by designing a new dual carriageway with two lanes per direction.

The total length of the highway design is about 83Km, with project speeds of 120 Km/h in a general way and 100 Km / h in the Manta variant and in the last 20 Km due to the pronounced orography.

A total of 62 Structures were designed, with Viaducts (a total of 4,989 m), lower and upper passes, and five tunnel sections totaling 13,380 m (considering a double tunnel, One per carriageway, 2,040 m corresponds to a false tunnel).

7 different level exchangers have been designed.

6 Toll Areas have also been included.

The proposed pavement is bituminous.

The project also included the following Drainage Infrastructures: (i) Road surface drainage with the drainage of stormwater runoff; (ii) Subsurface drainage with the interception and disposal of groundwater flows; (iii) Erosion protection measures for the slopes.
