The Nzega-Isaka road, of which length 105 Km. is part of the Dar Es Salaam-Mwanza road which transverses the towns of Morogoro, Dodoma, Manyoni, Singida, Nzega and Mwanza (towards the north).

After starting off at Nzega, the road cuts across rich agricultural areas and terminates at Isaka connecting towns, district headquarters and economic growth centre.

The rehabilitation of his section is part of a wider project providing for the upgrading of the entire section Mwanza Border-Nzega from gravel roads to a Class I trunk road in bitumen pavement standard.

The road influence area is about 20,000 km2. The project included upgrading works. rehabilitation and widening works of urban roads.

Hydraulic: road surface drainage with the drainage of stormwater runoff from the road surface and the surfaces adjacent.

Subsurface drainage and Erosion protection measures for the slopes along the roads.
