The project entails the review of all existing systems and implements actions required to put the road maintenance management in the Ministry of Roads and Transport’s road agencies Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), Department of Feeder Roads ( DFR) and Department of Urban Roads (DUR) on an efficient, effective and sustainable basis. Some of the specific objectives of this project are:
- to strengthen institutional capacity for planning, budgeting, programming, implementing, and reporting all maintenance activities of the road agencies.
- providing professional services for the review and amendment of engineering designs and all documentation for maintenance works including maintenance manuals, guidelines, and procedures for the procurement of maintenance works contracts.
